hip resurfacing operation

my specialist agreed to this form of operation for my arthritis of the hip because I am fit, under 60, not overweight. It involves placing a metal cap on the ball joint of the femur and a metal cup in the socket of the hip. I was told it takes longer to recover from but you have more mobility once you are recovered. I was walking without sticks 2 weeks after the operation, and back in the gym and attending my yoga class 2 month later. I am still not able to do all the hip movements I used to do but it’s early days yet.
