To quickly access health information from your website's browser, download Where did I get RA from? After walking around with knee swelling and pain thinking it’s just arthritis of the knees. I purchased a cane to help me keep the other knee from the stress of over working it. I saw my primary doctor who sent me to physical therapy it helped because it gave me back my confidence to get out and move around even in pain after laying up in bed for a few months. Now I’m seeing a Rheumatologist, who did extensive lab work and found out I have Rheumatoid Arthritis I was glad it wasn’t anything more serious however, when I read more about it, I see that it is serious. When I read about the treatment. I was concerned because of the side effects. I even told my family I did’t want to take the medicine. However, I know it’s for my good to stop further damage to my joints. My Rheumatologist told me on yesterday that I don’t need to prolong having knee replacement because of the continual damage could make it difficult for the replacement. Overall, I’m feeling better right now with taking the Prednisone which I can only be on for two more weeks. I’ll be starting on the Methotrexate on today. I’m just looking forward to feeling like myself again on a regular basis. I hope this helps someone. Comments
