Five years ago, I had my right knee replaced. Rehabilitation was more painful than I expected and I never gained full use of that knee. The other knee should have been replaced a couple of years ago, but I have been putting off that surgery. Walking is getting more and more difficult because in addition to the knee, both ankles are now affected by arthritis. April 2007
